To secure your date, a retainer fee is required at the time of booking your Michigan newborn photoshoot. The remaining balance is conveniently due three days before your session. All payments are processed securely through my online scheduling system. While session fees are non-refundable, your retainer is always transferable to a future session if needed.
Do you offer in-home newborn photography sessions in Michigan?
Yes! I specialize in luxury in-home newborn sessions throughout the Michigan area. My philosophy is to bring the studio to you for maximum comfort and convenience. I transport all professional equipment, props, and hand-picked, color-coordinated sets directly to your home. Before your session, we'll collaborate using a detailed questionnaire to design a look that's perfect for your family. Your only job is to relax in your own sanctuary.
What is the turnaround time for my newborn photos? How will I get them?
I know how excited you are to see your images! You can expect a few sneak peek photos to be shared on social media (with your permission) within 24 hours of your session. Your complete, professionally edited online gallery will be delivered to your email within 3 weeks. This digital gallery allows you to easily download, share, and order stunning professional prints.
How can I order professional prints and albums from my gallery?
Your online gallery includes a built-in store! Simply click the shopping cart icon on any image to access my curated collection of heirloom-quality products. Choose from a variety of professional-grade options, including fine art prints, elegant wall art, and luxurious albums. These products are made with archival materials to last generations and are shipped directly to your doorstep here in Michigan.
How far in advance should I book my newborn session?
You can book your Michigan newborn session anytime. For due dates during my busy season (June-December), I recommend booking a few months in advance to secure your date. Simply choose a date near your due date when booking; we'll finalize the session once your baby is home from the hospital.
What is the best age for newborn photos?
The ideal window for posed and lifestyle newborn sessions is when your baby is between 10-15 days old. However, I happily photograph babies up to six weeks, ensuring flexibility for preemies or any other circumstances.
What should we wear for our in-home newborn session?
After booking your luxury in-home newborn session, I’ll send a detailed prep guide with wardrobe suggestions. I recommend simple, neutral tones for a timeless look that keeps the focus on your family’s connection and your new baby.
What is your safety policy for posing newborns?
Newborn safety is my highest priority. With years of specialized training in safe newborn posing and a background in teaching infant CPR, I adhere to a strictly baby-led approach. I never force a pose or use unsafe techniques. Your baby’s comfort and well-being guide every moment of our session.
Do you photograph siblings and parents during the session?
Yes! I encourage full family involvement. My hybrid newborn sessions begin with natural, authentic moments of the whole family snuggling with your new baby. I capture parents, siblings, and the entire family together before moving to individual portraits of your newborn.
